Piritahi Marae
Nau mai, piki mai ki a Piritahi Marae!
Established in 1976, Piritahi Marae stands on the edge of Te Huruhi Bay on Waiheke Island, Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa.
Piritahi Marae is a taurahere marae (a living community marae). We are open to whānau of all iwi and people of all descent and ethnicities.
Located within the rohe of Ngāti Paoa and Pare Hauraki, the marae was named "Piritahi" (Together as one) by Te Arikinui Dame Te Ātairangi Kāhu, a reminder there is strength in Kotahitanga.
Our marae complex includes our whare whakairo "Kia Piritahi" that sleeps up to 40 people, "Ngakata" our dining hall that can accommodate up to 90 people, and ablutions block and laundry. The wider marae has the Piritahi Hauora Medical Centre and Piritahi Childcare buildings set amongst park like settings with direct access to the beach. Our core marae complex is able to be leased out for overnight stays. See our booking page for more information.
